Summer Weekend Meals for Kids

We believe children should not have to worry about when and where their next meal will come from when school ends for the summer. 

Each weekend during summer break, children will receive a kid-friendly, nutritious, and filling food bag that will include 2 breakfast items, 2 lunch items, 1 family-style dinner, 2 healthy snacks, and 1 fresh fruit or vegetable.

Weekend food bags are distributed to children enrolled at the Campbell County Boys and Girls Club, Children’s Developmental Services Center, Kid Clinic, Rec Center Summer Camp and CCSD Summer School.  

During the 2023 summer break we distributed 2,358 weekend food bags which each contained an average of $6.00 worth of food to nearly 400 children in Campbell County.
